Vitamin K1 & K2 has a critical effect on the function of osteocalcin, which is activated by Vitamin K and the activated osteocalcin (protein) binds the minerals in bone. Many dogs may be deficient in Vitamin K, leading to a reduction in bone desnity and bone strength.
